The origin of the word 'chemical' comes from Greek words-'khuma' to do with flow of liquids while 'engineer' has the same root as 'ingenious' and 'genius', from the Latin genere, which means 'to cause to happen'.
In short, chemical engineer is a clever professional who makes ingenious plans for the conversion of substances on a scientific basis and idustrial scale.
